Unlike the Beatles song I attempted toreference in the title Titus Young’s life isn’t getting much better. It wasn’t too long ago when he was arrested three times. Now, according to Riverside County court documents, his son’s mother Marjani Maldonado filed for a permanent restraining order against him on Thursday, citing a threat of domestic violence. Maldonado claims that Young threatened and harassed her at her Moreno Valley home.
“He would say things like, ‘I understand why O.J. killed his wife.’ He says, ‘We’re always gonna be a family and I’m always going to be his,’ ” the filing states, according to The Press-Enterprise. “He got mad and yelled at my neighbors and tried to fight multiple people that he doesn’t even know.”
The temporary restraining order requires Young to stay at least 100 yards away from his ex-girlfriend at all times, The Press-Enterprise reported. A hearing on the permanent restraining order is set for May 29.
Maldonado, who is the mother of Young’s child, Titus Jr., also makes the claim in the filing that the former NFL player is not mentally well. Which seems to be a common thing in NFL players lately. Like how Brandon Marshall is bi-polar. Please accept your disorder titus, you had such talent and I’m afraid we’re going to lose you. Others have accepted their flaws and moved on to be quite successful like Brand Marshall and Vince Young.
“Titus Young Sr. has been clinically diagnosed with a mental disorder, and I am afraid of what he is capable of doing,” the restraining order request states. “He also has been in a mental help facility more than once and still believes that he does not have a problem.”
